Balwant Singh Rajoana, sentenced to death for the assassination of the former Punjab Chief Minister, Beant Singh. It would be submitted to the President for a final decision.the mercy petition was filed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, reached the Home Ministry two days ago, and was added to the list of mercy petitions
