Ventricles pump blood in whole body with high pressure to they are of thick walled as compared to atriums they just collect bloods from pulmonary veins and vena cava.
Ventricle are thick in order to cope up with the pressure of blood from auricles .Blood is pushed into auricle at much higher pressure. The thickness of ventricle also help in the contraction and relaxation to push out the blood and receive blood in.
Because blood flows in ventricles with high pressure.
