The follicle breaks and secondary oocyte is liberated in the fallopian tube even when the second meiotic division has not happened. This release of a secondary oocyte from ovaries is known as ovulation. Ovulation is the process in which the ovary releases ovum or egg cell after every 28 days. Usually, only one egg is released per cycle. The ovulation takes place 10-12 day after the start of menstruation.
It is the release of egg which can be fertilized by a sperm or disslived during menusration.
The ovary produces a mature egg every month..this is called ovulation
