    Calcination is conversion of carbonate ore in limited supply of oxygen while roasting is conversion of sulphide ores in presence of excess oxygen.
    While extraction calcination and roasting are respective processes to convert carbonate and sulphide ores into oxides for easier extraction.
    Roasting :- heatimg with excess aur to convert sulphide into oxide
    Calcination :- heating with limited air to convert carbonate into oxide

    The carbonate ores is converted into oxides by heating strongly in the limited air is called calcination.
    Roasting is a process in which in which the sulphides ores are converted into oxides by heating strongly in the presence of excess air. Calcination is a process in which the carbonate ores are changed into oxides by heating strongly in limited air.
    The sulphite ores is converted into oxides by heating strongly in the presence of the excess airis called roasting.
    Calcination is carbonate ores to oxide ores and roasting is sulphide ores to oxude ores
