The difference in the level of the two limbs = Pgauge
Pgauge = Pabs – Patm
Pabs – Patm = 562mm of Hg
Pabs – 101.39 = ρgh = 13.6 × 103 × 9.81 × 562/1000 = 75.2 × 103 N/m2
= 75.2KPa
Pabs = 101.39 + 75.2 = 176.5kPa
