1. It doesn\’t give info about dimensions of constants.2. It just tell whether equation is dimensionally correct or not but doesn\’t tell about full correctness of any formula.
Limitations of dimensional method. … Numerical constants having no dimensions cannot be obtained by method of dimensions. Equations using trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions can not be deduced. If dimensions are given, physical quantity may not be unique as many physical quantities have same dimensions.Thanks @diti?
1. This method gives us no. information shout the dimensionless constants in the formula. Ex. 1,2,π2. If a quantity depends on more than three factors, having dimensions.,the formula cannot be derived.3. We can not derive the formula containing trignometical function, log functions etc. which have no dimensions.4. It gives no information whether a physical quantity is scaler or vector
