Important uses of
(i). Caustic soda:
(a). Used in the manufacture of soap, paper, artificial silk and a number of chemicals.
(b). Used in petroleum refining and purification of bauxite.
(ii). Sodium carbonate:
(a). Used for the manufacture of soap, glass, paper, borax, caustic soda etc.
(b). Used in textile industry and also in petroleum refining.
(iii) Quiclime:
(a). Used in the manufacturing of dye stuffs.
(b). Used in the manufacture of sodium carbonate from caustic soda.
