The time taken by a wave to travel a distance equal to its wave length is called time period .The highest displacement of the particles from the mean position ,when a wave passes through the medium is called amplitude of the wave.
\tThe time taken for one complete oscillation in the density (or pressure) of the medium is called the time period (T) of the wave.\tThe magnitude of maximum disturbance in the medium on either side of the mean position is called the amplitude (A).
