Resistance can be defined as the opposition towards current and resistivity is the property of resistance that is used in the circuit, to oppose the current.
Resistance is a property of conductor due to which it resists the flow of electric current through it. Component that is used to resist the flow of electric current in a circuit is called resistor. Resistance is directly proportional to the length and temperature while it is inversely proportional to the cross-sectional area of the material.Resistivity is the physical property of a particular substance which is having particular dimensions. Resistivity is only proportional to the nature and temperature of the particular material.
