A die is tossed thrice. Find the probability of getting an odd number at least once.
P(atleast one odd) = 1 – P(all even)
= 1 – p(even 1st) p(even 2nd)p(even 3rd)`
`= 1 – (3/6)(3/6)(3/6)`
`=1- (1/2)^3`
`= 1-1/8 = 7/8`

Number of possible results on a die = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}
∴ Number of favourable results getting even number (2, 4, 6) = 3
∴ Probability of getting even number = 3/6 = 1/2
∴ Probability of getting even number once = 1/2
∴ Probability of getting even number thrice = 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8
∴ Probability of getting at least one odd number on tossing all dice together = 1 – 1/8 = 7/8
