The act of adapting behavior to the norms of a culture or society is called\xa0socialization.\xa0Socialization\xa0can also\xa0mean\xa0going out and meeting people or hanging out with friends.\xa0The role of\xa0socialization\xa0is to acquaint individuals with the norms of a given social group or society. It prepares individuals to participate in a group by illustrating the expectations of that group.\xa0Socialization\xa0is very\xa0important\xa0for children, who begin the process at home with family, and continue it at school.
