    At the top of the trachea (or wind pipe) there is a flap of cartilage called epiglottis. The function of epiglottis is to cover the mouth of trachea (or wind pipe) when we swallow food so that the food may not enter the trachea (or wind pipe).

    Epiglottis is a leaf shaped flapped in the separation of wind pipe and food pipe when food enters in body it will be bend and cover wind pipe same condition occur with food pipe when we are breathing
    a small thin thing at the back of your tongue that moves to prevent food or drink from entering your lungs when you swallow
    The epiglottis is a leaf-shaped flap of cartilage located behind the tongue, at the top of the larynx, or voice box.

    Epiglottis is a thin, valve like, flexible cartilaginous tissue that covers the glottis during swallowing, so as to prevent the entrance of food and drink into wind pipe.The epiglottis is a leaf-shaped flap of cartilage located behind the tongue, at the top of the larynx, or voice box. The main function of the epiglottis is to seal off the windpipe during eating, so that food is not accidentally inhaled. The epiglottis also helps with some aspects of sound production in certain languages.Swelling of the epiglottis is called epiglottitis.
    A cap which puts over glottis to cover our oesophagus

    It is entry gate which is manage the the supply of oxygen and entry of food it is small structure at the time of quitting disclose the entry gate of oxygen and after that it is open then oxygen supply is continuously work
