    An alkaline solution is one where the pH is greater than 7. Alkaline solutions are also known as basic solutions. They can be generated when metal oxides or metal hydroxides are put into water to dissolve. Examples of an alkaline solutions are sodium hydroxide solutions or potassium hydroxide solutions.

    An Alkaline can be defined as a base that dissolves in water.
    The bases which are soluble in water are called alkaline. For example, sodium hydroxide (NaOH), potassium hydroxide (KOH)…HOPE IT HELPS???

    When an alkali is dissolved in water, the solution formed is known as alkaline solution. They can be formed in the laboratory or via natural processes also like erosion. Alkaline solution is basic in nature so used in the laboratory, industry etc. to make chemical reactions basic or neutral.

    a chemical substance that reacts with acid to form a salt has a pH value of more than 7.
    The base soluble in water is known as alkaline.
    Scientists use pH to describe how acidic a substance is on a scale of 0 to 14. By definition, a substance is alkaline if it has a pH of over 7.
