What happens when copper powder is heated
When the copper powder is heated in a \’ china dish\’ , the copper powder surface becomes coated with ” black colour substance” due to the formation of \’copper oxide\’ by surface oxidation. Copper reacts with oxygen in the air upon heating and forms copper oxide .
It changes. Into CuO copper oxide which is black in color
It gives copper oxide and becomes black in colour
It loses water and turn white. When water is added again the original blue colour restore by itself.
It will evaporate
Copper oxide is formed…. Think so ??
