Correct Answer – Option 1 : 1 ∶ √2
Given:
The ratio of area of square is 1 ∶ 2
Formula used:
Area of square = Side × side
Length of diagonal of square = √2 × side
Calculation:
Let the area of first square is A1 and area of Second Square is A2 similarly S1 and S2 is sides and D1 and D2 are the diagonals of the square
∴ A1 ∶ A2 = 1 ∶ 2
Now, we know that
Area of square = Side × side
∴ S1 ∶ S2 = 1 ∶ √2
Now ratio of diagonals = √2 × 1 ∶ √2 × √2 = 1 ∶ √2
∴ D1 ∶ D2 = 1 ∶ √2
Hence, option (1) is correct
