Correct Answer – Option 2 : 5
Given:
Length of box A = 20 cm
Breadth of box A = 18 cm
Height of box A = 15 cm
Length of box B = 18 cm
Breadth of box B = 12 cm
Height of box B = 5 cm
Formula used:
Volume of cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height
Calculations:
Volume of box A = 20 × 18 × 15
⇒ 5400 cm3
Volume of box B = 18 × 12 × 5
⇒ 1080 cm3
(Volume of box A) ÷ (Volume of box B) = 5400 ÷ 1080
⇒ (Volume of box A) ÷ (Volume of box B) = 5
⇒ Volume of box A = 5 × Volume of box B
∴ The volume of the box A is 5 times of the volume of box B
