Answer is : (a) incomplete dominance
Tay-Sachs disease is an example of incomplete dominance. In this disease, mutations in the gene coding for an enzyme, hexosaminidase that causes neurological dysfunction. This enzyme breaks down lipid byproducts gangliosides in the cell’s lysosomes. In Tay-Sachs disease, homozygous recessive individuals are severely affected with a fatal lipid-storage disorder, whereas, heterozygous individuals have only 50% of enzyme activity found in normal individuals.
