To represent root 2 on number line firstly see that which perfect square number is near if suppose root 1 is near it then on a number line take 1 cm length and then draw an upward arc of 1 cm with the help of protector as root1 + root 1 =root 2 and then draw a straight line through the arc then join that point with 0 point and by the help of the protector take the length of the newly line which you have joined to point 0 and then draw an arc which will be the root 2…..
