Mineral acid means one which is made by man by using the natural material and that can be obtained one of which is HCL though it is present in our stomach as an organic form but cannot be obtained from our stomach but can be made that is why we call it a mineral acid not an organic acid
The definition of mineral acid says it all-“A\xa0mineral acid\xa0(or\xa0inorganic acid) is an acid\xa0derived from one or more inorganic compounds. All mineral acids form hydrogen ions and the conjugate base ions when dissolved in water.”HCl is produced by the gastric glands in stomach.HCl activates the enzyme pepsin and creates an acidic medium which kills the bacteria which might have entered while ingestion.HCl does not harm our stomach because the gastric gland also produce mucus which helps in preventing the damage of inner layer of stomach from the action of acid.
