Yes, everyone made a significant contribution towards saving their boat as well as each other\’s lives. The author, despite so many injuries, didn\’t lose hope and courage and kept fighting with the waves till the last moment. His wife Mary stayed at the wheel during the crucial hours instead of attending the children because she knew that the wheel was her priority then. The children did not bother their parents about their doubt of dying and the injuries they had suffered. They also tried to lighten up the gloomy atmosphere.
