ARTERIES-They are the blood vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body. They have thick and the elastic walls because the blood emerges from the heart under high pressure. They carry oxygenated blood accept pulmonary artery which carries dioxyginated blood.VEINS-They are the blood vessels which collect blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart. They have thin walls because the movement of blood is no longer under pressure, instead have valves. They use to carry dioxyginated blood with the exeption in pulmonary veins which carry oxygenated blood.
