Western coastal plains:This plains is situated between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats.The height of the Western Ghats goes on increasing towards the south and Anaimudi is the highest peak of the Peninsular India and is in the state of Kerala the west coastal plain is quite narrow and it\’s width is not more than 64 km anywhere but it\’s soil is very fertile it gets much of the rains in summer due to the summer monsoon climate is hot and moist . rice spices rubber and coconut are grown here .Eastern Ghats : this plaines lies between the Bay of Bengal and Western Ghats river like Mahanadi Godavari Krishna and Kaveri all flow through these ghats and make the land fertile eastern Coastal plain is quite wider than the West Coast plain at some places it is 120 km wide this pplains get lesser rains than Western Plains this plaines gets rains in both summer and winter especially in winter through the winter monsoon region is fertile but not as fertile as Western Plains rice groundnuts cotton tobacco coconut are grown here
