Rivers carry fairly large and heavy particles with their floodwater. Flowing with water too long distances, these particles are rubbed together. This way they turn into very fine quality clay silt. 

नदियाँ अपने बाढ़ के पानी में काफी बड़े व भारी कण बहाकर ले जाती हैं । लम्बी दूरी तक पानी के साथ बहते हुए ये कण आपस में रगड़ते रहते हैं। इस प्रकार वे बहुत उत्तम गुणवत्ता की मिट्टी या गाद में परिवर्तित हो जाते हैं ।
