He was a pessimist who shifted to the secret Annexe with otto Frank as it was the ideal place for hiding. He was a good friend and a business partner of Mr Frank aswell . He was a stereotype the man who always fought with his wife and later try to pacify her he would never give up if he got the opportunity to fight with anyone he was a chain smoker who worried about his Of smoking smoking. He was shot temperd often shouted at his wife and son , Peter though he well behaved with anne occasionally he is rarely mentioned but where ever he is mentioned is found either swallowing up the food or fighting with someone especially his wife but he had a good knowledge of political affairs and was always followed to the TV for latest updates
