The given circuit is a series circuit.Properties of a series circuit :\tThe current remains the same in all resistors\tThe potential difference varies for each resistor depending on current.So Since the current remains constant, we can calculate the current for the whole circuit and then calculate the potential difference.According to reference :Potential Difference\xa0= 2 VCurrent\xa0= ?Net Effective Resistance\xa0= 10 Ω + 5 Ω = 15 ΩSo According to Ohm\’s Law,Potential Difference ( V ) = Current ( I ) × Resistance ( R )=> Current ( I ) = Potential Difference ( V ) / Resistance ( R )=> Current ( I ) = 2 / 15=> Current ( I ) = 0.13 AHence the current in the series circuit is 0.13 A.Now The current acting on both resistors will be 0.13 A. So now we must find the Potential Difference acting on the resistors.So V = I × RWe need to calculate Potential Difference in Resistor 10 Ω .=> V = 0.13 A × 10 Ω=> V = 1.3 VHence the potential difference at the 10 Ω resistor is 1.3 V.
