Given equation is 3x2 = -11x – 10
⇒ 3x2 + 11x + 10 = 0
⇒ 3x2 + 6x + 5x + 10 = 0
⇒ 3x(x + 2) + 5(x + 2) = 0
⇒ (3x + 2)(x + 2) = 0
Now, either 3x + 2 = 0 ⇒ x = \(\frac{-2}{3}\)
Or, x + 2 = 0 ⇒ x = -2
Thus, the roots of the given quadratic equation are x = \(\frac{-2}{3}\) and -2 respectively.
