aluminum is less reactive
1) Aluminium is a good conductor of heat therefore when we wrap hot food in the aluminium foil it keeps the food warm. 2) Aluminium reacts with present O2 and forms a layer of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) on it. Once the lead is formed aluminium farther does not react with O2 and keeps the food safe from other possible reactions.
so that food can not oxidise easily
Because aluminium is highly malleable and easily available at low price.
