Following steps can be taken to create more employment :—(i)\xa0Increase in irrigation facilities\xa0:- Without irrigation only a single crop is grown in most agricultural fields. It means less working opportunities, but if irrigation is provided two or three crops can be grown on the same field. So more people will be employed.(ii)\xa0Improved Roads and Transportation\xa0:- If village roads are better built, good transportation facilities are provided then, surplus produce could be sold in city market. This would fetch more income.(iii)\xa0Provide them easy loan\xa0:- If people are provided easy bank loans then they could start small business which will make them self dependent.
More employment in rural areas can be created by taking following steps:1. Farmers should\xa0diversify agriculture and adopt horticulture, animal rearing, organic farming, pisciculture\xa0besides farming.2. Government should take necessary steps to\xa0provide loans to farmers at cheaper rates and from formal sources of credit.3.\xa0Creation of basic infrastructure facilities\xa0such as roads, transportation, market and banking will lead to creation of employment opportunities in rural areas.4.\xa0Establishment and promotion of cottage and small scale industries\xa0will also increase employment opportunities in rural areas.\xa0
